From the Locals – Mary Sue Ward (Adel)
“For over 40 years, I have enjoyed living in South Georgia for many reasons: it is a slower-paced lifestyle, proximity to large cultural centers, crops in the fields, and front-porch swings. If you are a new resident or visitor, I would recommend that you visit the Welcome Center and pick up maps/ guides that will allow you to experience all area attractions. The two Georgia Grown Trails, Georgia Grown Trail 37 and Georgia Grown Trail 41 give visitors a glimpse of authentic products available in South Georgia. With our school systems, colleges and universities, there are concerts, plays, recitals, art exhibits, and sports events all year round. Travel the area and talk to people and you will also fall in love with the South.”
