Tifton Georgia is known as the Friendly City and the heartbeat hub of South Central Georgia. It was founded in 1872 by Captain Henry Harding Tift, a steamship engineer from Connecticut, who arrived in Georgia to harvest timber for the family shipbuilding business. visit www.tifton.net

With easy travel access from 1-75, U.S. 319 and U.S. 82, Tifton is an agricultural center, an $80 million agri-farming region of the richest land in the South, producing row crops, turf, and vegetables. Tifton has a great background in education, defending the title of the Reading Capital of the World, plus two colleges and a technical college. Tifton provides a great location for business meetings and conventions at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center, which has seating for 2,500 for concerts and fifteen meeting rooms with free parking and a full event-planning staff. Tifton has many unique museums: the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Living History Farm and Village, the Tifton Terminal Railroad Museum, The Museum of Arts and Heritage, and the Plant Telecommunications Telephone Museum.
